Bloomington pool hosts annual meet

Barracuda swimmer Brenden Lucas qualifies for senior state championships

Bloomington Family Aquatic Center was the site for a “Last Chance Invitational” on July 6-7 hosted by Barracuda Aquatics Club.

The meet was a big success according to Barracudas coach Paula Lee as 20 teams from Minnesota and Iowa took to the long course pool with 520 swimmers ranging in age from 6-21 trying to beat the time standard to qualify for their respective state regional championship meet which began this week all over the state.

Barracuda swimmers qualifying for Minnesota Regional Championships include:

8-Under: Hannah Von Ruden and Maja Anderson

9-10: Abigail Rogers, Isis Anderson, Hannah Von Ruden

11-12: Eli Bavier, Luke Snyder, Calvin Hansen, Cayden Thul

13-14: Patrick Cruse.

Brenden Lucas qualified for the Minnesota Senior State Championships July 18-21 at the Rochester Rec Center.
