FISHKILL – On August 29, 2016, fire departments throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley responded to a fire at the Gap Inc. distribution center on Merritt Boulevard in Fishkill. The facility, covering approximately one million square feet, began burning at night and the fire continued through dawn the next morning. The fire, deemed “suspicious” by authorities including the State Police and Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division, prompted an investigation. But, after eight years, no one has been arrested.
