Forensic pathologist awarded for work with organ and tissue donation
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — In July, Dr. Scott Denton was awarded the Life Saving Partner Award by the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Network. “I was giving a lecture about why forensic pathologists can help save the living in organ donation. Which is something I don’t get to do often,” said Denton. “So, I was lecturing to coroners. I had finished my lecture and then they had presented me with this lovely award.”

Governor JB Pritzker signed legislation into law to allow victims to replace license plates and registration stickers at no cost if their vehicle was stolen. The bill was sponsored by Senator Elgie R. Sims Jr (17th District – Chicago) and Representative Jehan Gordon-Booth (92nd District – Peoria) to allow victims to replace plates and stickers at no cost if they provide a police report to affidavit showing their original plates were stolen.
