MARSHALL COUNTY ( KSNT ) – A search is underway for a missing man from Blue Rapids, Kansas.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Marshall County Sheriff’s office are conducting the search. Camoran M. Shoptese, 36, of Blue Rapids was last seen Thursday night, July 4, around 10:30 P.M. at 709 Chestnut Street in Blue Rapids.

Shoptese is Native American, approximately 6-foot-1, weighs around 200 pounds, has short black hair, brown eyes and black tattoos on his neck and chest.

According to the KBI, investigators suspect foul play and that a 2008 Chevy Colorado may be associated with the case.

This investigation is ongoing and if you have information you’re encouraged to call the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME.

It’s asked if you have rural property in the area to check for and report any suspicious activity on your land.
