State Fair of Texas announces the return of free pre-fair horse shows
DALLAS (July 11, 2024) – Saddle up, folks – the State Fair of Texas is proud to announce the lineup of pre-Fair horse shows leading up to the opening of the 2024 State Fair of Texas. Starting on August 9 and running each weekend prior to the Fair, these family-friendly shows are free to the public and will take place in the air-conditioned Fair Park Coliseum. Horse exhibitors can now sign up to be the first to know when entries open online at BigTex.com/Horse.
Tanglewood Resort to Host Swim and Glow Party
The glow-in-the-dark event is free for members and resort guests. Lake Texoma, Texas (July 10, 2024) – Tanglewood Resort will host a Swim and Glow Pool Party on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 6 – 10 pm in the indoor and outdoor pools. DJ Chris Witherspoon will play live music with his special glow setup. Guests can enjoy glow beach balls, games, blacklights, special photo ops and fun decor, neon wristbands, and a special Glow Tail Mermaid Show from 8-8:30 pm.
Local veterans to receive Quilt of Valor at special ceremony on July 20

Bubs enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home (don’t know how he is with cats), and he picks up routines quickly! He already knows how to sit and is house-trained. Bubs does incredibly well in his crate and rarely barks at all. He absolutely loves to be around people and is an expert cuddler.
