According to court documents, on August 16, 2023, Denise R. Allen, 29, of Bluefield and another person were arrested at a gun store in the Princeton area of Mercer County. After they were arrested, both gave permission to the police to search the truck they were driving, which was rented under a stolen identity.

During the search, police found 431 grams of methamphetamine, 21 grams of fentanyl and two Glock 9mm semiautomatic handguns during the search. Allen then admitted that the methamphetamine and fentanyl belonged to her and the other person, and they intended to sell it.
