BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) – The American Legion Riley-Vest Post 9 is hosting their third annual Veterans Helping Veterans Autorama on June 15.

American Legion holds second annual Veterans Helping Veterans Car Show

The car show will take place at Bowen Field in Bluefield from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

It will be free for everyone to attend, but Post 9 is asking for a $25 donation from those entering the car show.

Former Post 9 Commander John George told 59News how this event helps local veterans. “[They can help provide] wheelchair ramps, repairs on decks, help pay a bill, if need be, but it’s their way of helping veterans,” said George. “This brings the community in [to] help us. We help as many veterans in the area as we can.”

There will be food trucks as well, along with raffles, a 50/50, and vendors.

Woman cycles across the states to support veterans

It is also Military Appreciation Night for the Bluefield Ridge Runners after the end of the car show. Veterans will be able to get into the game free.

Doors open for Military Appreciation Night at 5:30 P.M.
