BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — It took 23 holes of golf and a lengthy sudden death playoff for Susan Glasby to secure a third consecutive West Virginia Women’s Amateur Championship. Firefighters in Rural Retreat receive new air packs
WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — One Wythe County fire department is celebrating after receiving new, vital equipment for its crew. The Rural Retreat Fire Department received 18 MSA firefighter air packs, which provide breathing air to firefighters performing interior fire attack, rescue and hazardous materials response. The department said the packs are essential to firefighter safety.

RAIN/THUNDER THREATS: Expect a couple of downpours with clear skies in between the rain this evening. The rain will end and fog will develop overnight. Another round of showers will move through between daybreak and 2 p.m. One or two storms in the Greenbrier Valley could be gusty early Thursday afternoon.
