My parents and sister still live in Lindale and I recently moved back to Lindale after 20 plus years living in Tyler. I have always had a love for my hometown and have been both excited and saddened about my little hometown's growth. One exciting part about being from Lindale is that its home to a multiple CMA, ACM and Grammy winner in country superstar Miranda Lambert.
50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony festival to span multiple locations across 4 days
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The upcoming Humor & Harmony festival will be held at multiple locations across Shreveport over four days. The festival is scheduled for Aug. 8-11. Initially, it was announced the event would be held at Independence Stadium, however, the venue has been changed to the Municipal Auditorium. Festival organizers say this decision was made because of the intense heat the area typically sees during August.

Man to serve 18 years in prison for robbery
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A man accused of carjacking and severely injuring an acquaintance pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery on Monday. According to the Caddo Parish District Attorney, 29-year-old Jacob Boykin entered a guilty plea before Judge John Mosely, Jr. and was sentenced to 18 years for his crime.

Fair Hills VFD gets water donation
PRESCOTT – Firefighters battler more than fires during the summer – they also battle the heat, humidity and dehydration. To help with the dehydration part, Anhauser Busch donated 98 cases of canned water to the Fair Hills Volunteer Fire Department Monday. The department applied for the water with a grant through the company in April 2024 and was recently notified it would be receiving the water. Assistant Fire Chief Joey Beavers said the National Volunteer Fire Council paired with Busch on the project and several departments were awarded water. Fair Hills is the only department in the county to get the water.
