I have always had a love for my hometown and have been both excited and saddened about my little hometown's growth. One exciting part about being from Lindale is that its home to a multiple CMA, ACM and Grammy winner in country superstar Miranda Lambert.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The upcoming Humor & Harmony festival will be held at multiple locations across Shreveport over four days. The festival is scheduled for Aug. 8-11. Initially, it was announced the event would be held at Independence Stadium, however, the venue has been changed to the Municipal Auditorium. Festival organizers say this decision was made because of the intense heat the area typically sees during August.
Man to serve 18 years in prison for robbery
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A man accused of carjacking and severely injuring an acquaintance pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery on Monday. According to the Caddo Parish District Attorney, 29-year-old Jacob Boykin entered a guilty plea before Judge John Mosely, Jr. and was sentenced to 18 years for his crime.
