Bryan-College Station EMS team receives award for saving rural Grimes County man’s life
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - A team of emergency medical personnel were honored Friday after saving a man’s life at a College Station hospital. St. Joseph Health’s 9-1-1 dispatcher Noah Miles, and paramedics Aaron Clark and Robert Burroughs received awards for saving the life of Grimes County man, Eddie Eppler at the St. Joseph Health College Station Hospital three months ago. Eppler awarded each of the team members their own life saving award.
Former Brazos County DA named special prosecutor in Uvalde criminal proceedings
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A grand jury has indicted two officers charged for their inaction during the Robb Elementary shooting in Uvalde in May 2022. According to KBTX media partners, we are learning that long time former Brazos County District Attorney Bill Turner has been named special prosecutor in the case against one of them, former Uvalde Schools Police Chief Pete Arredondo.

Bexar County reached a historically high number of drug-overdose deaths in 2023, with 509, according to a Public Health Watch analysis of provisional federal data. Three hundred twenty-seven of those deaths involved methamphetamine — also an all-time high — according to the data, compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There were 498 overdose deaths in 2022.
