Centralia grade school teachers prepare for new school year
Teachers in the Centralia City School District have been preparing for the coming school year with training for the updated curriculum. Kindergarten and first grade teachers attended training for the new phonics program, and teachers throughout the district have been trained on the new math program. Assistant superintendent Christina Becker says the district is fortunate to have teachers who are willing to commit the time necessary to complete the trainings.

Champaign, IL – Severe thunderstorms are expected across Illinois tonight, bringing the potential for damaging winds, urban flooding, and isolated hail.
