Carbondale man charged with first-degree murder in 2021 shooting death of SIU student
CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - An arrest has been made in the murder investigation of a Southern Illinois Carbondale student. During a news briefing on Wednesday morning, August 14, Jackson County State’s Attorney Joseph A. Cervantez announced that 22-year-old Keavonte Nesby, of Carbondale, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with the death of Keeshanna Jackson.
