Officers were called on Tuesday to the business in the 1300 block of Doral Drive to investigate a theft that reportedly happened on Sunday.

It was reported that a man and woman had a baby monitor and 19 miscellaneous items of merchandise totaling $2,423.18.

Reports said the man and woman tried to pay for the items using a credit card, but it wouldn’t register. The two then instructed the cashier to press the cash button and they swiped the card again, leading the cashier to believe that the credit card was accepted even though it was not, according to the police report.

Reports said the suspects then left the store in an unknown direction. Video surveillance, as well as images of the suspects and receipts, were provided to police.

Police said the man was described as Black man in his late 20s or early 30s with shoulder-length black hair and a short beard. Police described the man as being 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, and he was wearing dark shorts, a red sweatshirt and a black baseball hat.

Reports said the woman was described as a Black woman in her 20s or early 30s with shoulder-length black hair. Police described the woman as being 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build, and she was wearing black pants, a dark sweatshirt, a tan baseball hat and sunglasses.

    A report was taken.
