FINLEY, Wash. - Benton County Fire District 1 responded to a manufactured home fire crews believe started from an electrical problem Sunday morning. In a Facebook post, BCFD 1 said five people in the house woke to the smell of smoke before their smoke alarm went off. When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire in a bedroom. One person was checked for smoke inhalation, but there were no further injuries.

On Sunday at 12:07 a.m. an updated air quality alert was issued valid until 3 p.m. for Grant and Morrow counties. According to the National Weather Service, "Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Advisory IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 p.m. MONDAY. A Smoke Air Quality Advisory has been issued. Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels. Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes runny nose aggravate heart and lung diseases and aggravate other serious health problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it is smoky.
