BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Police say one person was found shot and killed inside a car Sunday night near Choctaw Drive in Baton Rouge. The Baton Rouge Police Department said Marvus Green, 32, was found shot and killed around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, July 21 in the 2600 block of Cedar Avenue. According to BRPD, Green was found inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds.

U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy, M.D. and John Kennedy recently announced Louisiana will receive $4,656,004.92 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida relief. Terrebonne Parish will receive $3,340,194.23 for the replacement of the Houma Fire Department Airbase Station.
