A pressing need for Americans with Disabilities Act compliant cabins is slated to be met in just three days thanks to a Boise developer.

Six cabins are scheduled to be built for nonprofit Hidden Paradise by CBH Homes , and the builder has stated it will do so in three days from Aug. 6-8.

The developer has partnered with Camp Rainbow Gold, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children in Idaho who have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer, giving them “emotionally empowering experiences” through year-round programs and a medically supervised summer camp.

According to a release from CBH, Camp Rainbow Gold, has outgrown its options to serve the number of children in need. Though it currently helps about 400 children, it stated it turns away about 50 to 60 children each year, citing a lack of ADA-compliant facilities.

Hidden Paradise, which sits on 172 acres in Fairfield, “aims to provide a safe and inclusive haven for children and families facing various medical challenges, including cancer, amputees, those with epilepsy, muscular dystrophy and other disabilities,” will be the recipient of the six cabins.

“CBH has been supporting Camp Rainbow Gold for 20 years, and when the call came in, we had to say, ‘yes,’” said Ronda Conger, vice president of CBH Homes. “Hidden Paradise is a beacon of hope for so many families in Idaho, and we are honored to contribute our expertise and resources to help make it a reality.”

Conger continued, saying that it will take “the entire CBH village” to complete the builds in three days, “but we know that this amazing community will jump in and be ready to help make these kids’ lives better.”

Along with the six new ADA-compliant cabins, Hidden Paradise will include almost 20 remodeled buildings, a medical center and outdoor amphitheater.

“This partnership with CBH Homes is a gamechanger for Camp Rainbow Gold and the countless kids we serve,” said Elizabeth Lizberg, CEO of Camp Rainbow Gold. “The addition of these six cabins will significantly expand our capacity and make it so we, not any of the other nonprofits using Hidden Paradise, ever have to turn kids away. We are eternally grateful for CBH Homes’ generosity and commitment to our mission.”
