For a quarter of a century, a consulting firm has been giving back to the community through acts of service.

Deloitte’s Boise office kept the annual tradition alive by volunteering with a variety of nonprofits in the region through the Deloitte Day of Impact on June 7.

Fifty members of the local office got away from their desks and provided service to organizations such as building welcome kits for refugee families with GLocal Community Partners, sorting food donations with the Idaho Foodbank, and removing weeds and maintaining trails at the World Center for Birds of Prey and with Idaho Land Trust in the foothills.

According to a release from Deloitte , the company, which has had locations within Idaho for more than 40 years, has 127 staff members working within the state, supporting nonprofits such as the United Way, YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement and many others.

“These projects support our company’s commitment to drive social and economic prosperity wherever we work,” said Ryan Tolley, managing partner for Deloitte Boise. “On Impact Day, and every day, we do what we do best: Bring our passion to drive positive change, strengthen our communities and help change lives.”

Nationally, the company’s employees give back to more than 1,200 in-person and virtual projects in 100 cities.

In Boise, the Deloitte office works together to select new nonprofits “to engage with to deepen their understanding of and commitment to causes important to Idahoans.”
