It was a patriotic celebration in downtown Boise on Thursday morning, with the annual Fourth of July Parade held in conjunction with the Independence Day holiday. Attendees of all ages lined the streets in celebration of the Fourth. Parade entries competed for prize money to support Idaho nonprofits, while businesses, organizations and families gathered to “show that United We Stand for a strong community, city and nation,” parade organizers said on their website. The parade route started on Jefferson Street, looped down Fourth Street onto Bannock Street, and looped back up to Jefferson Street via 11th Street.
