For many people, getting a tattoo is a life-altering decision — after all, it will likely be inked into your skin forever. For others, it’s a chance to add to a growing collection and add exciting, new artwork to their body.

But for everyone, getting a high-quality tattoo is paramount.

The Treasure Valley is home to numerous tattoo artists and parlors.

But where’s the best place to snag some new ink? Depending on style and detail, you’ll typically want an artist that matches what you’re looking for — do you want realism or something more cartoonish?

The Idaho Statesman is on a mission to discover the best tattoo artists in the Treasure Valley, and we need your help. Share your favorite tattoo shops in the area, and we’ll showcase them in a head-to-head bracket over the coming weeks.

Only active tattoo shops are eligible for submission. However, any artist of any style is welcome to participate in the bracket. The parlors with the most votes will be featured at the end of the bracket.

Submissions will close at noon on Monday, July 22.
