The Albertsons Boise Open held its annual media day on Tuesday with updates from Albertsons COO Susan Morris, Boise Open Executive Director Jeff Sanders and a Q&A session with golf commentator Gary McCord.

The event hosted 160 media members, tournament sponsors and media partners at Hillcrest Country Club, which will host the first of four PGA Korn Ferry Tour Finals event this year, from Aug. 22-25.

McCord entertained guests with golf insights and stories from his life in golf, first as a player on the PGA Tour and later as a broadcaster for CBS Sports.

Morris highlighted Boise Open’s rich tradition of supporting charities, donating nearly $36 million since 1990. This year, 100% of all ticket sales will go to local charities, with each ticket purchaser choosing one of 40 possible charities to support.

Sanders spoke to the fan experience, which will include concerts the first three nights of the tournament, Aug. 22-24. Country singer Jon Pardi will play Thursday night, Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates will perform Friday night and the Goo Goo Dolls will play Saturday.

The concerts will be held on the 18th fairway and begin immediately after golf concludes. Concert tickets are included in the purchase of golf tickets, with Thursday and Saturday rounds already being sold out.

The tickets also include access to four hospitality venues and Sunday will feature Junior Day with a free hat and lunch for the first 500 kids in attendance and free golf games and lessons from PGA Professionals.

Tickets are $30 for Friday and $10 for Sunday’s final round and kids 15 and under get in free with a paid adult all week.
