Boise State men's hoops team to play game in Idaho Falls this season; women to play game in San Francisco's Chase Center

The Boise State men’s and women’s basketball teams both announced separate neutral-site games for this upcoming season on Monday, with the men once again traveling across the state and the women getting a chance to play in an NBA arena.

The men’s team will take on Saint Mary’s on Dec. 14 at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, while the women’s team will face San Francisco on Nov. 21 at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors.

The men’s game between Boise State and Saint Mary’s will be a rematch of a game last year, also played at the Mountain America Center. The Broncos won that game 63-60 and both teams ended up advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

“It’s important to us,” Boise State coach Leon Rice said at the time about playing in front of fans in Eastern Idaho. “You hear (athletic director) Jeramiah (Dickey) talk about it a lot, and it’s true. I’ve lived here a long, long time and it’s Boise State and it’s the state of Idaho, it’s us. That means a lot to me and our program and we want to be able to get more people involved and more people seeing us.”

Season ticket holders can buy presale tickets on Wednesday, while the general public can purchase tickets starting Friday. The complete 2024-25 Boise State non-conference schedule will be announced later this week. It has already been announced that the Broncos will be in the field at the Cayman Island Classic Nov. 24-26, with Boise State opening against Hampton on Nov. 24.

The women’s game will be the first game of the San Francisco Legacy Doubleheader. After the Broncos take on the Dons, San Francisco’s men’s team will face Memphis in the nightcap.

Tickets for the women’s game go on sale at 11 a.m. MDT on Thursday at chasecenter.com .

The matchup is the first non-conference game for the 2024-25 season announced for the women’s team.

Times for these games will be announced at a later date.
