Caren and Nick Orum are not the most ordinary of vintners. Readying to launch their premium wines under their Arborum Napa Valley label, the duo are as interested in philanthropy as they are in producing their extraordinary 2021 Proprietary Red Wine and their 2022 Proprietary White Wine, crafted by well-known winemaker Andy Erickson. The Orums have pledged $1 million upon the release of their wines to charities that support Napa Valley vineyard workers and their families, as well as to organizations focused on environmental conservation. Additionally, 100% of the net earnings from the sale of their Arborum wines in the future will be donated to organizations such as The Napa Valley Farmworkers Foundation, Collective Napa Valley’s Forest Health Initiative, Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center, 10,000 Degrees, and the Point Reyes National Seashore Association.

Sam Altman’s $27 million San Francisco luxury abode is apparently plagued with issues, ranging from a leaky infinity pool to faulty piping that dumped raw sewage on the property. That’s according to a lawsuit that The San Francisco Standard linked to the OpenAI CEO’s residence, which claims Altman purchased a “lemon” with “pervasive shoddy workmanship and corner-cutting.”

DUI Driver Crashes into Parked Vehicle in Petaluma and Drives Away
A DUI driver was arrested in Petaluma after crashing into a parked vehicle. On Sunday afternoon, several residents called to report a vehicle collision in the 2100 block of Falcon Ridge Drive. Officers determined that a driver crashed into a parked vehicle and drove away from the scene. A short time later, they found the suspected vehicle parked at a nearby residence and contacted the driver involved, 60-year-old Andrew Filshie. He showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. No injuries were reported.
