Former and Wake Forest pitcher Chase Burns was selected No. 2 overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the first round of Sunday's Major League Baseball draft. Burns, a Nashville-area native, spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Vols before transferring to Wake Forest for his third and final season at the college level.

Truck Catches Fire on I-840 in Williamson County
Williamson County Fire and Rescue responded to a fiery car accident on Sunday morning. At 7:10am, a wreck occurred on I-840 near the ten mile marker involving a pick-up truck. The pick-up truck burst into flames upon impact with another vehicle. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
