Dallas Mavericks Interesting in Bringing Back 10-Year Veteran
Fresh off an NBA Finals appearance, the Dallas Mavericks have had an interesting offseason. The team acquired four-time champion Klay Thompson and traded Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Detroit Pistons for Quentin Grimes. Currently, Dallas has one roster spot remaining. And it seems that they may be looking at a familiar face to fill that final spot.
Wichita Falls Fire Department pays tribute to fallen firefighters
The Wichita Falls Fire Department held its 40th anniversary memorial service Friday at the Wichita Falls Public Safety Training Center to honor the department's fallen. The room was lined with current WFFD members and young firefighters in training. Retired firefighters sat amongst the crowd which included their families and local city officials.

Four Dallas firefighters injured after fire truck crashes off highway onto DART tracks
DALLAS, Texas — Four Dallas firefighters were injured after a fire truck drove off Interstate 345 onto DART tracks below the roadway, officials said. The incident occurred just after 6 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 345 and South Good Latimer Expressway. The four firefighters were transported to Baylor University Medical Center and are in stable condition, officials said.

DALLAS — Four Dallas firefighters were injured after a fire truck drove off Interstate 345 onto DART Tracks below the roadway, officials said. AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has announced the annual Sales Tax Holiday, set for August 9-11, 2024, allowing shoppers to purchase qualifying items tax-free. The tax-free weekend applies to most clothing, footwear, school supplies, and backpacks sold for less than $100, whether bought in-store or online from Texas-based sellers.
