Bonner County History - July 9, 2024
Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a conditional use permit for the Brand S Corporation for a sawmill in Laclede. The mill, situated on 50 acres of land in Laclede, will employ about 150 workers and loggers. The county courthouse was jammed for the hearing, with an overflow crowd extending into the hallway. Most of those attending seemed to be in favor of the mill.

Dr. Richard P. Neuder recently moved his dental practice into an attractive new structure at Ontario and Dover highway. The building was styled to fit the surrounding scenery of the Sandpoint area. Dr. Neuder now has more room, rental space for a dental hygienist and additional parking space. •••

Communities across Bonner County are coming together under canopies of fireworks to celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, with each city putting their unique spin on this year’s festivities. Sagle road to be vacated
SAGLE — The vacation of a Sagle road has been approved following a public hearing and resolution approval by the Bonner County commissioners. The commissioners held a public hearing June 12 to discuss the matter — the vacation of what was simply known as “County Road #105,” located off Lakeshore Drive in Sagle. Bonner County planner Alex Feyen told the board the roughly 3-acre portion of road is 50 feet wide with no structures on or around the proposed vacation area.
