Missoula Police Defuse Dramatic Knife Altercation at Gas Station
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 16, 2024, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to a gas station in the 1500 block of Toole Ave. Officers were informed that a 911 caller had reported that a male had pulled a knife on another person. The 911 caller further reported that the two individuals began fighting again and that one had a stick.
Two sexual assaults in downtown Missoula prompt police investigation Saturday
MISSOULA, Mont. - The Missoula Police are actively investigating two sexual assaults that occurred in the downtown area over the weekend. Police Captain Eddie McLean said in a statement that the suspect in the assaults was last seen Friday night and is a Caucasian male who was notably acting suspicious before approaching the victim in a secluded area downtown.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 17, 2024, Missoula Police Department Officers were dispatched to the U.S. Post Office located at 1100 Kent Avenue for a report of a fire. Call details described a homeless female lit a bush on fire next to the building and the flames were almost as tall as the flagpole. An officer responded to the Post Office and contacted the complainant who is an employee.

Missoula Police Bust Habitual Traffic Offender for a 6th DUI
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 13, 2024, at approximately 3:35 PM, a Missoula Police Department officer located a suspected impaired driving vehicle that was reported to 911. He initiated his emergency lights and the vehicle yielded in the mall parking lot near Dillards. The officer approached the vehicle and observed two occupants inside. The female in the driver's seat would be positively identified by Montana Driver's License as 48-year-old Candice Hanks.
