Car, van shows come to Lincoln County
Fans of classic cars and vans had their choice of shows they could attend in south Lincoln County last weekend.Happy's Inn hosted its annual classic car show pitting Lincoln and Flathead counties against each other.Flathead County came out the winner in 2024.Van lovers headed to the first Northwest Regional meet at Timberlane Campground outside of Libby.Event organizers said the Northwest regional will rotate annually to a different established location each year with the first one hosted in Montana. The 31st Annual Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation’s Playing for Fundsies Golf Tournament has successfully concluded, attracting an energetic group of golfers for a day filled with twists and turns. The event featured games and prizes on every hole, ranging from a toilet tee off to teeing off with a hockey stick.Golfers also replaced putting with string and utilized multiple mulligans throughout the day. Garfield County pledges to keep jail shuttered after suicide went undetected
Family members of a man whose suicide went undiscovered in Garfield County jail for 18 hours have settled their claim, in an agreement approved by a superior court judge on Monday. Idaho Fish & Game Trucking Sockeye Salmon From Lower Granite Dam On Snake River
COLFAX - This summer’s above average run of sockeye salmon up the Lower Snake River into Idaho is allowing managers to keep some fish to spawn at a hatchery. The agency has begun trucking the endangered fish from Lower Granite Dam on the Snake to the Eagle Hatchery near Boise. About 1,000 sockeye have reached the dam South of Colfax just downriver from Idaho. The fish are on a 900 mile journey to their spawning grounds near Stanley.
