Columbia man dies in Boone County crash on Interstate 70
BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ) A Columbia man died in a crash that occurred Tuesday morning at mile marker 117 on Interstate 70, a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report states. The report states that a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia tractor trailer – driven by Derson Jeanlouis, 36, of Brandon, Florida – was in the eastbound lane.

A Columbia man has been killed in Tuesday morning’s collision with a tractor trailer at I-70’s 117-mile marker in Boone County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at about 9:25 am Tuesday near I-70’s Harrisburg/Huntsdale exit. The Patrol’s crash report says a tractor trailer driven by a Florida man was slowing down due to a motor vehicle crash that was ahead on the interstate. Troopers say 22-year-old Joshua Hulse’s Chevy Impala struck the rear of the tractor trailer and the vehicle became lodged under the trailer.
