Boone County man arrested after authorities find drugs and cash, troopers say
BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Boone County man faces felony drug charges after he was caught with various amounts of drugs and $1,000 Thursday, troopers said. Jamie Osborne, 36, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver after troopers responded to a disturbance call to Boone Motor Lodge in Danville.

Derick Kirk Foundation presents music scholarships
2024 Winfield High graduates Benjamin Seabolt (WVU) and Mitchell Proper (Marshall) received $1,500 scholarships from the Derick Kirk Foundation, a Boone County-based non-profit that provides music scholarships to area students pursuing degrees in music education. Seabolt and Proper are joined by foundation representatives Lois Kirk and Darren Kirk. A summer outdoor concert fundraiser is scheduled for July 20 at 6 p.m. at The Bucket restaurant in Charleston.
