Iowa Traffic Fatality County Down 16 Percent from Same Time One Year Ago
(Des Moines) According to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Iowa Traffic Fatality Count, there were 27 fewer traffic fatalities on Iowa’s roadways than one year ago. As of July 1, 135 people have died on Iowa’s roadways compared to 162 one year ago. This is eight lower than in 2022 and nine lower than in 2021.

ADM Baseball Wins Against Gilbert With Exciting Comeback
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team picked up their 13th win Monday night, following a dramatic comeback versus Gilbert. Gilbert came out swinging as they scored three runs in the top of the first inning to lead 3-0. ADM did manage to get one across in the bottom of the second to cut the deficit to 3-1. Gilbert tallied a home run in the top of the fourth inning to give them a 4-1 advantage.
Sensory Swim to launch at select Des Moines aquatic centers
DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department is making sure all residents can enjoy a day at the pool. The department is launching a brand-new program at Nahas, Northwest, and Teachout aquatic centers. Sensory Swim provides individuals and families with a calming and relaxing experience.
