Power is out Thursday evening for 1,161 customers in the area of the Grange Fire burning near Boonville, according to PG&E.

The outage ranges from Philo to Yorkville, following along the Highway 128 corridor. PG&E reports that power may be restored by 10:15 p.m. Thursday night, but that could change due to the fire.

The Grange Fire started about 3:38 p.m. near the 9800 block of Highway 128 and has burned approximately 50 acres, according to Cal Fire.

The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office has issued an evacuation order for zone MEN-3BON01, an area with a mix of homes, wineries and barns.

Evacuation warnings are in place for zones MEN-03PLO02, MEN-03PLO01, MEN-3BON02 and MEN-3BON03. Authorities are asking that residents to prepare to evacuate at any moment by gathering belongings, checking on neighbors and leaving as early as possible.

The fire has also closed Highway 128 between milepost markers 25 and 26, according to Caltrans.

Residents are asked not to block roads and to allow emergency vehicles to pass. More information is available at mendoready.org.
