LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Boonville Oneida County Fair is lending a hand to any floats that didn’t get to be part of the canceled parade at the Lewis County Fair.

In an announcement from the Lewis County Fair, officials at the Boonville Oneida County Fair are welcoming any floats to participate in the Tuesday, July 23. The Lewis County Fair parade was called off due to severe weather that caused flash flooding on Tuesday.

The parade and fireworks show slated for last night was scrapped due to the fair closing early. The fireworks display will be rescheduled for 10:30 p.m. Friday night. However, the parade will not be held this year.

Anyone looking to have their float at next week’s Boonville Oneida County Fair can fill out the form at https://boonvillefair.com/events/parade-4/ or call 315-942-2251 after noon on Wednesday.

Lewis County Fair officials also offered anyone to bring their float to their annual Trunk or Treat event each Halloween. Fair officials will also accept candy donations for those not wanting to participate.
