    Bordentown Township's 24th Annual Fish Derby Set for Saturday : Get ready for a morning of free fishing in Bordentown Township this weekend! Bordentown Township's 24th Annual Fish Derby is taking place on Saturday, July 6 at Northern Community Park. Grab your fishing pole and bring your own bait to this free event! Registration will take place from 9AM to 9:30AM, with a presentation starting at 9:30AM. From there, the Fish Derby will take place from 10AM to 12PM. The Fish Derby will conclude with trophies awarded to kids aged 12 and younger who catch the biggest fish.

    Bordentown Concert Series Continues With Bach Performance at Old City Hall : Bordentown City's free popular concert series is continuing this weekend with another installment. "Bach on the Hilltop" will be taking place on Sunday, July 7 at 6:30PM at Old City Hall, located at 13 Crosswicks Street. Sunday's concert will feature Bordentown City resident Justin Lee, who will be joined by local Bordentown students who will be showcasing their musical talents.

    This Week's Lineup at Sunday's Bordentown Farmer's Market : The Bordentown Farmer's Market’s 2024 season is in full swing! After it's grand opening last month, the Market is back on Sunday, July 7. The Market takes place every Sunday from 9AM to 1PM in the outdoor area of the Carslake Community Center, located at 207 Crosswicks Street in Bordentown City and is scheduled to run through October. In case of rain, the Market moves indoors in the Community Center. Every week, residents and visitors will be able to shop farm fresh produce, local baked goods and more while being treated to live music. Farms at this Sunday's market will have famous and fresh Jersey corn for purchase.

    D&R Greenway to Host Acclaimed Local Author for Book Reading This Weekend : D&R Greenway Land Trust will be hosting an acclaimed author and professor this weekend for a book reading. Radford University English professor Rick Van Noy will be presenting his latest book, "Borne by the River", on Saturday, July 6 at 2PM at the Discovery Center at Point Breeze, located at 101 Park Street in Bordentown City. "Borne by the River" is Van Noy's recounting of his incredible journey floating 200 miles down the Delaware River with his dog, Sully, to his childhood home in Titusville, NJ. Through this adventure, Van Noy delves into the historical, cultural, and environmental significance of the Delaware River, offering readers a unique perspective on nature.

    Florence's Patriotic Celebration Day to Feature Fireworks, Concert, Parade : Although the Fourth of July may be in the middle of the week, you'll still have a chance to attend a nearby event this weekend to celebrate with a parade, concert and fireworks. Nearby Florence Township will be holding a Patriotic Celebration Day on Saturday, July 6, with a full schedule of events planned throughout the day. Patriotic Celebration Day will continue with evening activities at the Florence Township Municipal Complex, located at 711 Broad Street, from 5PM until the completion of the fireworks display just after 9:30PM. The evening will include activities for the whole family, live music and food trucks.
