Established in 1918, Temple B’nai Abraham is a small but diverse Reconstructionist Jewish community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, lifelong learning and community engagement through learning and communal activities, and offers a wide range of religious, educational and social programs for all ages. "We view education for ourselves and our children as fundamental to Jewish life," says the synagogue's mission statement . "We do this in order to enhance our own lives as contemporary Jews and to perpetuate our bond and our children's bond to our heritage."
In her role as Associate Rabbi, Marchione will focus on enhancing the congregation's educational offers, lead worship services and expand community outreach programs. Marchione says she is "particularly enthusiastic about working with youth and young families, fostering a love for Jewish traditions and values among the next generation."
Marchione holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Global Media Studies from the University of Michigan, and was previously a Rabbinic Intern at Temple B'nai Abraham from 2020 to 2022. She earned her rabbinical ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbincal College in Wyncote, PA in 2024, where she was recognized for academic excellence and leadership.
Temple B'nai Abraham will be holding a special Shabbat service and reception on Friday, July 26 at 7:30PM to formally welcome Rabbi Aviva, in which all members of the congregation and the broader Bordentown community are welcome to attend.
