Great Plains Multi-Day Severe Threat
Thanks to a stubborn, slow-moving low-pressure system, a large portion of the Great Plains will deal with a storm threat over the next few days. Sunday's risk reaches from the South Dakota through Nebraska, and down into the northwestern Kansas. There's a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) in parts of the High Plains for the potential of damaging wind gusts. Although, a couple of tornadoes cannot be completely ruled out.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — It was a warm day to have such a warm furry companion come by with his new friend. Julie Schirado of Furry Friends Rockin Rescue dropped by the studio to introduce her new furry friends, Jersey. She told the story of when they found him, Jersey had almost no fur and needed urgent medical care. After some time and lots of love, he’s now on the road to being fostered or adopted by someone looking to add to their home.

A new design competition is looking to find better housing for Fargo's aging population. Like many other states, North Dakota has a growing number of people increasingly burdened by their own homes. Oftentimes, they want to stay in their communities but their properties might be too large, too expensive to maintain or too unsafe to occupy.
Several hurt from gunfire in Brooklyn Park amid massive gathering at Noble Sports Park
BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Brooklyn Park police say multiple people were hurt on Friday night when shots were fired during a gathering of about 400 people at Noble Sports Park.Police say officers were called to the park at about 9:20 p.m. on a report of a disturbance, with gunfire erupting soon after they arrived.No officers were hurt but police say multiple vehicles sustained bullet damage, and officers eventually collected "a large amount of shell casings" at the scene. Officers from several surrounding police departments were also called to the park to assist with crowd control and dispersal.Brooklyn Park police are still investigating.
