3rd annual Iron Horse Shoot Out begins Thursday in Amarillo
The Amarillo Police Department and the 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle are hosting the third annual Iron Horse Shoot Out, a three-day event starting Thursday at the Old Santa Fe Depot in downtown Amarillo. During the motorcycle riding skills event, law enforcement and civilian riders will show their prowess and learn from other riders.

BIG COUNTRY, Texas (BCH Sports) – More high school football games to watch for the 2024 season. District 7-2A Division II is expected to come down to a showdown between Albany and Roscoe. The Albany Lions are the kings of Class 2A Division II after winning the state championship in back-to-back seasons. Roscoe is tasked with finding a way to keep the Lions from winning their 17th district title in 18 years. It’s not going to be easy. This season’s meeting is the 16th between the two teams since 2004. Albany is riding a streak of eleven straight victories over the Plowboys: ten in the regular season, and one in the playoffs in 2009. Roscoe’s last victory over the Lions came back in 2007. It was the first of back-to-back wins for the Plowboys. The district championship is going to be on the line in Roscoe on November 1st.
