Bosque Museum Tea & Style Show r escheduled for Saturday, May 11

The Bosque Museum Docents have rescheduled their “May in Manhattan” Tea and Style Show for this Saturday, May 11, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. The fundraiser was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 5, but was postponed due to flooding and road closures experienced throughout Bosque County on that date.

Those attending will enjoy an array of delicious finger sandwiches, mini quiches and cheesecakes, assorted cookies, and hot tea served tableside while enjoying a variety of the latest fashions featured by local merchants in Bosque County.

Some dozen stylish summer ensembles will be worn by six models in the beautiful Bosque Museum, decorated to reflect the familiar Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty theme. Style show partners are Albrecht’s Pharmacy, Lady Bugs, Main Street Antiques and Interiors, Maize Grace and Market at the Mill. While hats, gloves and pearls are optional, they have proven quite fun and popular in the past and a prize will be award for “Best Hat.”

Door prizes and a multitude of raffle items, compliments of local businesses and docent friends, are available for purchase prior to the style show. Raffle tickets are $5 each or six for $20. Several generous sponsors have helped to underwrite the event.

The Tea and Style Show has become a popular annual event each spring and the primary fundraiser for the docents, who work to assist the mission and efforts of the Bosque Museum.
