Bosque County Treasurer enhances financial skills at investment conference

Bosque County Treasurer Pam Browning attended the 2024 Conference of the County InvestmentAcademy, hosted by the Texas Association of Counties (TAC), from June 10-12 in Dallas County.

The annual conference offers county officials crucial insights and resources on investment strategies, financial management and best practices. This year’s sessions featured expert speakers, informative sessions and networking opportunities focused on helping counties manage their investment portfolios and public funds effectively.

During the conference, Browning learned about the latest trends and developments in public finance, investment policies and economic outlooks. She participated in discussions covering risk management, compliance and strategies for optimizing investment returns while ensuring the security of public funds.

“It is essential to stay informed about the latest strategies in financial investment and management,” Browning said. “I came away from the County Investment Academy conference equipped with knowledge that will help me better serve Bosque County and manage our financial resources.”
