BENTON, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — On July 4th, Louisiana State Police was notified of a vehicle crash involving a truck and a man operating a lawnmower at his residence. Louisiana State Police (LSP) stated the crash occurred on Louisiana Highway 3 north of Kingston Road. Troop G’s preliminary investigation found that the victim operated a zero-turn lawnmower in his yard.

On July 4, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G was notified of a vehicle crash involving a truck and a man operating a lawnmower at his residence. The crash occurred on Louisiana Highway 3 north of Kingston Road and ultimately claimed the life of 66-year-old Donald Ward.
Help needed finding missing Elm Grove man
BOSSIER PARISH, La. - Bossier deputies need help finding a missing man from Elm Grove with possible medical issues. Joseph Sturdivant was being treated in the back of an ambulance by EMTs for a medical issue, when for an unknown reason he jumped out of the back of the vehicle and ran into some nearby woods near Fairview Point Road on July 16.

Back then, school didn't begin until after Labor Day, but now, Bossier Parish, DeSoto Parish and Caddo Parish kids are already down to their last couple of weeks of summer fun and planning to head back to school on Thursday, August 8.
WHERE IT’S HAPPENING
Work began Sept. 18, 2023 on a major rehab project on I-20 in Bossier and Caddo parishes. Lane closures have been put into place in both the east and westbound directions on I-20 from near Hamilton Road to Industrial Drive (LA 782-2) in Bossier City. Extensive concrete repairs will be underway from Pines Road to Market Street on the west end of the project in Shreveport, and from Industrial Drive to I-220 on the east end in Bossier City. The entire project is expected to be complete in late 2025.
