Man sought in connection with Plymouth homicide investigation arrested in Hanover, police say

A man sought in connection with a homicide investigation in Plymouth was arrested in Hanover following a manhunt on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Matthew Paluzzi, 26, was detained pending a search warrant and is being escorted by Massachusetts State Police to Plymouth Police headquarters, according to the Plymouth Police Department.

“This does not appear to be a random act of violence and there is no further probable danger to the public at this time,” the department said shortly before 11 a.m.

Shortly before 10 a.m., Plymouth police announced in a community alert that they were searching for Paluzzi in connection with an “apparent homicide investigation,” warning the public not to approach him because he was believed to be armed.

The homicide investigation is unfolding at 15 Cedar Street in the seaside village of Manomet, just minutes away from White Horse Beach, according to the Plymouth Police Department.

Video from the scene showed several detectives gathered outside the home and the neighborhood blocked off by Plymouth police officers.

Additional details surrounding the investigation weren’t immediately available.

A news conference has been planned for later this morning.
