WARMING UP

Sunshine will continue to dominate through the weekend as high pressure remains in control, and we’ll experience steady warming as a ridge builds across the eastern US. You should be ready for big temperature swings from cool mornings to warm afternoons each day. Keep the jackets handy before 8 or 9 AM daily, then layer short sleeves underneath. High temperatures will make it back to the 80s tomorrow and remain there through the weekend. Humidity will stay nice and low too!

Right now, the next chance of any rain is the middle of next week!

LANDFALL

Hurricane Francine made landfall in southern Louisiana in the Parish of Terrebonne, about 30 miles south-southwest of Morgan City, as a Category 2 hurricane. Maximum sustained winds were estimated to be near 100 mph.
