Though summer is still in full swing, travelers are planning their fall foliage getaways, according to Priceline, and two of the best leaf peeping destinations in the U.S. are in New England.

The online travel agency sent Boston.com a list of the eight most popular fall foliage destinations in the U.S. for 2024, based on the platform’s search volume. Bretton, N.H. ranked No. 3 ,and Stowe, Vermont ranked No. 6.

The No. 1 fall foliage destination on its list is Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Bretton Woods travelers can see panoramic views of the foliage in the White Mountains by going on a gondola ride or canopy zipline excursion, according to Priceline. Flights to Portland International Jetport, which is about two hours from Bretton Woods, cost about $349, Priceline wrote, and the average rental car is $95 per day.

Tavelers in Stowe, Vermont, which the site called “New England’s color capital,” can ride a hot air balloon over the foliage and enjoy Vermont’s famous maple syrup, according to Priceline. Flights to Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport, which is about a 45 minute drive, cost about $389 and the average rental car is $73 per day, according to Priceline.

Priceline’s eight most popular fall foliage destinations:

    1. Bucks County, Pennsylvania

    2. North Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada

    3. Bretton Woods, New Hampshire
