‘Women in America are living a nightmare’: Elizabeth Warren promotes Harris-Walz reproductive freedom bus tour

“Elections are about choices, and the contrast between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on the issues of abortion and IVF could not be sharper,” Warren said. “They are in exactly opposite directions.”

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren discussed reproductive rights and promoted the unveiling of the Harris-Walz campaign’s upcoming “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour with more than 50 stops across the country on Friday.

“Trump thinks women are stupid and that we can be gaslighted,” Warren said on a press call. “He seems to believe that he can do one thing when he talks to his extremist base and then turn around and smile at the overwhelming majority of Americans want to see access to abortion and IVF protected.”

Warren’s comments come after Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance claimed on Sunday during an interview with NBC News Meet The Press not to impose an abortion ban if he and former President Donald Trump were elected.

Warren outlined the differences between the two campaigns’ stances on reproductive rights.

“Elections are about choices, and the contrast between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on the issues of abortion and IVF could not be sharper,” Warren said. “They are in exactly opposite directions.”

Warren is also a co-sponsor on a bill that aims to protect access to assisted reproductive technology nationwide and provide the right for healthcare providers and insurers to cover the services. The bill came in the wake of Alabama’s Supreme Court ruling that virtually banned IVF in the state.

“Women in America are living a nightmare,” Warren said. “In November, voters will have the chance to vote to protect IVF by voting for Kamala Harris.”

The “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour, which aims to hold Trump “directly accountable for the devastating impacts of overturning Roe v. Wade, including threatening access to IVF,” is set to start in Trump’s backyard — Palm Beach, Florida on Sept. 3, the campaign announced.

The bus tour will emphasize the “stark contrast” between the Harris-Walz ticket — which promises to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade through a congressional bill — and Trump-Vance on reproductive rights.

“Our campaign is hitting the road to meet voters in their communities, underscore the stakes of this election for reproductive freedom, and present them with the Harris-Walz ticket’s vision to move our country forward, which stands in stark contrast to Donald Trump’s plans to drag us back,” Harris-Walz campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement. “The ‘Fighting for Reproductive Freedom’ bus tour will drive home for voters that this threat to our fundamental freedoms touches every American.”

Warren was also joined by Latorya Beasley, a mother and social worker who had been seeking IVF treatment but lost access as a result of the Alabama Supreme Court ruling.

Beasley holds Trump “directly responsible” for the suspension of her fertility services.

“Our dreams of growing our family were stopped dead in their tracks” said Beasley, who will be on the bus tour with the campaign. “It felt like my whole future was taken away from me in just an instant.”

As far as Beasley goes, losing access to IVF can be devastating, but she was probably voting for the party that's been more than happy to bankroll unlimited third-trimester abortions. If she's so desperate to grow her family, maybe she should be working on her marriage skills instead of blaming someone else for her fertility issue

Let's not forget, she's the same person who claimed Native American heritage to get ahead, until a DNA test revealed she was more 'Pocahontas' than most actual Native Americans. Talk about reproductive freedom – she's a master at reproducing hilariously bad political stunts. So, while she's out there rallying for 'reproductive freedom', I'll be over here laughing at the irony. Truly, a bus tour is the pinnacle of revolutionary activism in today's day and age. Keep dreaming, Warren. Your bus is going to need a bigger tank of gas if it's going to cover up the sound of your campaign's fizzling out.
