The former Patriots quarterback put in $65,000 worth of updates to the home.
The New England Patriots released Bailey Zappe in August, and now the former Pats quarterback is releasing his Norfolk condo to the real estate market. Zappe, 25, who now plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, just listed his three-bed, 2.5-bath home at 4 Dupee St. for $899,000.
Tucked on the end of a cul-de-sac inside The Village at Norfolk, the 1,995-square-foot condominium, which was built in 2023, has undergone $65,000 worth of upgrades. Walk up a few stairs to the cozy front porch, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. Step inside, and you’ll find hardwood floors in the bright entry, a flooring style that runs throughout much of the home.
The 452-square-foot living room features a variety of built-ins and a beautiful fireplace clad in shiplap and surrounded by open shelving and cabinetry. The living room is open to the dining area, which is set before a glass slider. Step outside to a beautiful deck, ideal for summer barbecues or sitting by the fire pit.
Next up is the kitchen, which is also part of the open layout. There, you’ll find stainless steel appliances, an island with bar seating, and recessed lighting. White Shaker-style cabinetry and waterfall quartz countertops provide stunning finishes.
There’s also a half bathroom on the first floor, as well as easy access to the two-car garage, which measures more than 358 square feet.
Back in the entry, climb the stairs to the bedroom level. There are two guest bedrooms, which share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination and pretty hexagonal tile.
The luxurious primary bedroom, which measures 416 square feet, features a walk-in closet and a cozy nook. The en-suite bathroom features beautiful floors, a dual vanity, a walk-in shower, and a soaking tub set under a window. Wash your towel in the upstairs laundry.
The unfinished walk-out lower level, which measures 819 square feet, provides the opportunity to create your own space.
“The home originally had a small patio off the back slider door, and the sellers added on the deck to make the backyard a more functional space to host guests, grill, or enjoy a fire and hang out,” George Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman, who has the listing, told boston.com via email.
A fenced-in backyard with a rolling, flat lawn is an opportunity for sunny suburban bliss — or tossing around a football if you’re looking to take after Zappe.
“With limited inventory available in Norfolk — where only four condominiums are currently on the market — this home offers a remarkable opportunity for buyers seeking the benefits of both a single-family home and a condominium,” Sarkis continued. “As the only stand-alone condominium for sale in Norfolk with no shared walls, it truly delivers the experience of single-family living while offering the convenience of a condominium.”
