The Cape Cod getaway with a private beach and views of the Atlantic Ocean has been welcoming guests since 1914. The 25-acre property is a short walk from Chatham’s Main Street and offers 217 rooms and suites, restaurants, a wellness spa, and plenty of activities.
Guests can stay in the Historic Main Inn or within 30 cottages scattered around the property. At the inn, travelers can choose from deluxe main inn rooms, ocean view rooms, ocean view suites, and an ocean view presidential suite.
The shingle-style cottages offer views of the gardens, golf course, and private beach. Guests can choose from ocean view cottage rooms, ocean view cottage suites, deluxe master suites, ocean view master suites, deluxe cottage rooms, deluxe cottage suites, and superior cottage rooms.
Many of the cottages have patios or decks and gas fireplaces.
Chatham Bars Inn has five restaurants: Stars, The Sacred Cod, Beach House Grill, The Veranda, and Bayview Terrace.
There are also private dining rooms and an eight-acre farm dedicated to the resort.
The spa offers five oversized treatment rooms, a newly renovated relaxation room, saunas, steam showers, a Zen garden, an outdoor adults-only pool, and a hot tub.
A state-of-the-art fitness center is open 24/7 and fitness classes and personal training sessions are available.
There are plenty of outdoor activities available at the resort. Guests can rent a private cabana along the beach, take a dip in the oceanfront heated pool, ride complimentary bikes, enjoy private bonfires, tennis courts, croquet, and more. Adjacent to the property is the Chatham Seaside Links 9-hole golf course.
The resort’s supervised “Kids Crew,” offered seasonally, engages kids in hands-on activities and hosts family events such as movies by the pool, lawn games, and craft sessions. The inn’s custom designed 18-person boat offers seal cruises, evening champagne cruises, and private charters.
Chatham Bars Inn also offers more than 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space for weddings, work events, and other family celebrations.
