The styling duo of Hokies quarterback Kyron Drones and running back Bhayshul Tuten led Virginia Tech’s offensive success. Drones scored first two touchdowns of the game on the ground with an 11-yard and one-yard run. Boston College recorded 21 unanswered points, primarily on Hokies turnovers. After stopping Virginia Tech to open the second half, the Eagles got on the board with an 11-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Thomas Castellanos to tight end Jeremiah Franklin. After that, Boston College scored on a 20-yard touchdown reception by running back Treshaun Ward and a five-yard touchdown run by running back Kye Robichaux. The Hokies turned the ball over on an interception and fumble on back-to-back drives. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the strength and skill of Tuten was too much to handle.
