    Where to watch Boston's Oscar-nominated movies

    Before the golden statuettes are handed out at the 2024 Academy Awards, here's where you can stream films nominated for best picture that were filmed in Massachusetts.

    State of play: The Oscars air 7pm ET Sunday on ABC.


    " Maestro " on Netflix

    • Bradley Cooper is the fourth person to receive more than one Oscar nomination for acting in a film they directed. The other three were Laurence Olivier, Warren Beatty and Clint Eastwood.
    • Subject Leonard Bernstein spent many, many summers conducting and teaching at Tanglewood in the Berkshires, where Cooper filmed some scenes.

    "American Fiction" on demand

    • Nominated for five Oscars, the film is still playing in some theaters or available for purchase on YouTube , Vudu and Prime Video .
    • Much of the film takes place in Boston and Scituate, where it was filmed.
    • You can catch the film still in theaters at AMC Boston Common, Kendall Square Cinema and a few others.

    " The Holdovers " on Peacock

    • This holiday movie is up for five Academy Awards including Paul Giamatti's first for actor in a leading role and Da'Vine Joy Randolph's first for actress in a supporting role.
    • Bostonians will notice shots of the Orpheum Theater, Boston Common, Somerville Theater and more.
    • The movie filmed in Boston, Worcester and Gill, Mass.
    • It's also still playing at the West Newton Cinema.
