Small businesses are the heart and soul of a neighborhood! If small businesses thrive, then the whole neighborhood flourishes!

This year, the St Patrick’s Day Breakfast hosted by Senator Nick Collins will feature a wide range of small businesses, from florists to restaurants! The program for the event was printed by ProPrint, owned by Southie resident Jay Arthur. The centerpieces on the tables were created by Yanni at Stapleton Floral on East Broadway. Even the tables and chairs are from a South End small business, Party Rental Ltd, and the St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast banner was created by Carroll Advertising in Dorchester.

You’ll also be able to sample some neighborhood specialties from sips via Castle Island Brewery, Grand Ten Distillery, and Dorchester’s Boston Harbor Distillery to pizza from Bardo’s and even hot dogs from the legendary Sullivan’s Castle Island.

“We have guests from all over the world attending the Breakfast. Having our local businesses as a part of our South Boston tradition creates an environment in which all of our guests feel like a part of our community for the day. Small businesses are so important to the South Boston community. I’m honored to have their support and enthusiasm to join in our longstanding tradition at the St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast,” says Collins.
