Congressman Stephen Lynch honored for 50 years as an Ironworker Local 7 member

U.S. Rep. Stephen F. Lynch was awarded his 50-year service pin by Ironworkers Local 7 Sat night during a ceremony at the Seaport Hotel. Lynch was an ironworker early in his career and is a former president of Local 7 in South Boston. He remains an active member of Local 7 as a retiree with 50 years of service.

He was one of many Ironworkers with more than 25 years in the union to be honored for their years of service.

“I would not be a member of the United States Congress without all of the people here in this room,” Lynch said upon being awarded his pin. “Tonight is good for the soul.”
